Every year The Ski Channel will hold a film festival featuring the best films in all mountain sport genres including: ski, snowboard, snowmobile, bike, climbing and various other mountain disciplines. The festival will also feature a photography contest, a clip contest and much more. It will be a must attend for any interested in the space. Mountain sport celebrities, mainstream celebrities and many other movers and shakers will be in attendance. There are some of the most passionate producers of film who dedicate their lives to this space. The passion shows as so many of the films are simply spectacular works of art. These ffilmmakers often get in their cars and barnstorm to get the films seem by the general public. We are going to pay tribute to these artists every year and leverage the full resources of The Ski Channel to make the festival a huge success. Much like MTV has the Music Awards and ESPN has the X Games, The Ski Channel will blend media and a great event to shine a spotlight on this unique paradigm. There will be much television created around the event including: wrap up, re-cap, red-carpet arrival, round tables and personality shows all spawned from the event each year. The clip competition is open to anyone with a great clip that is under 3 minutes in length. There will be a large amount of categories including: humor, beauty, best clip, most athletic feat, etc. Clips that are literally shot with a camera phone are eligible for the competition.
